Alchemy
“Alchemy” was inspired by the four classical elements and the symbolism used by alchemists to describe the relationships between these elements. The five pages within the book each show one of the four classical elements and a fifth element I invented for this book. The back cover shows the seven classical heavenly bodies and the metals commonly associated with them. The spine has the symbols for sulfur and salt. The design on the front cover is the symbol for the Philosopher's Stone, which itself symbolizes the union of the four elements in the quest for everlasting life.
”Alchemy” is fully functional as a book; the pages turn smoothly and the covers can lie flat to any page. When closed it measures 2” tall by 1.5” across by 0.5” deep. It is a one of a kind work of art.
