Bugs Book
When I made this book I was thinking about big, colorful, blocky children’s books. “Bugs Are Cool” is kind of a niche statement among adults, but kids still get to express wonder at the weirdest things. Despite my crippling arachnophobia, I made this book to try and channel that feeling.
Each of the seven pages is an original beadwork illustration of a particular bug and its habit: A snail, a moth, honeybees, a cicada, an anthill, fireflies and a spider.
