This is a beaded version of a special kind of machine called a kaleidocycle. This sculpture is made of eight linked tetrahedrons that turn in a circle into and out of the center. The cycle has a unique profile from the elongated shape of the tetras and changes form at every turn. This kaleidocycle is small enough to be carried around or even worn as a necklace with a rope through the center.
