Preorder from my next batch of mini book necklaces. I’ve added an additional fifth book to choose from in addition to the original designs. I made the first beaded book in 2020. It was a large piece of beadwork, maybe 3” tall, and since then I’ve been trying to see how small a beaded book I could make and still have clear images on the pages. These mini book pendants are my smallest yet and honestly some of my favorite pieces. There are five genres to choose from:
Minnesota - Each page of this book shows an image from my home state of Minnesota (a loon, a monarch butterfly, a bicycle, a campsite). The front cover is the state flag, fading into a lake and woodland scene on the back cover.
Alchemy - The pages feature the four classical elements (earth, air, fire, water) and the covers and spine are decorated with more alchemical symbols.
Bugs - The pages each show different insects (butterfly, ladybug, honeybee, dragonfly) and the cover and spine feature a flower, a bee skep, and honeycomb.
Sea Critters - The pages show different forms of sea life (a seahorse, a sea turtle, a jellyfish, a sea anemone) with a manta ray, a porpoise, and coral on the covers and spine.
Space - The pages show different astronomical phenomena (the sun, the moon, the outer planets, a comet) and the covers and spine show the Earth orbited by the moon, a constellation and a telescope.
Measuring just 1” tall and 0.5” when closed, these books each have four pages that open and turn easily. Each pendant comes with a 20” gold plated curb link chain. This can be adjusted or exchanged for another style for an extra fee.
