Seadragon, Beadwork on Canvas
This beaded panel was the third and final piece created in my “Fishbowl” trilogy. I had originally intended to bead a seahorse next, but most of the seahorses I found were in the orange and red color family and I wanted something different from the clownfish and surgeonfish panels, different and complementary. I remembered that seadragons are a thing, a beautiful, weird and glorious thing, and from that research came this vivid purple and fuschia seadragon. Beautiful both as its own creature, and as a member of the “Fishbowl” family.
This piece was created by first beading the 5” x 3” panel and then stitching it to the 7” x 5” canvas. The canvas has been equipped with d-rings and wire, gallery style, for ease of hanging.
This is a one of a kind work of art.
