Sea Creatures
“Sea Creatures” is a follow up to my earlier piece, “Night Creatures”. After such a dark and limited palette I wanted to run wild with colors, and “Sea Creatures” (also a teaching book) is the result.
The book is organized with each page showing a different form of sea life from the shallows to the deeps: sea turtles, sea horses, nautilus, jellyfish, and squids. The cover and spine of the book shows a scene of colorful coral reefs.
The transparent beads used in this book create depth and a realistic watery effect as the pages and covers layer with one another. The pages turn smoothly and the book lies open easily. When closed it measures 2” tall by 1.5” across by 0.5” deep.
